Dear member of the European Parliament,

As local volunteers, working together with refugees in a group for solidarity, peace and development, we are very concerned about the fate of Syrian refugees in the camps of Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, Bulgaria and Greece.

We received detailed information about the deteriorating situation and the problems with safety, food provision and generalconditions of living.

Below, as well as in the attached letter, you can read how the most vulnerable refugees are risking becoming victims for a second time.

We urge you to iniate and to support a beer organisaon of the camps, faster reselement and relocaon possibilies and to provide more finances for beer security systems in the camps.

It is self-evident that abuses and violence by the local administration and population must be punished. But referring to the experiences in Uganda, it would be better in the long run if the local settled population could profit in a decent way of theeconomic possibilities provided by the presence of more people.

It is even in our own interest that the refugees in the camps can live a decent live as more problems between local people and refugees could provoke more refugee waves towards the European Union.

Dear member of the European Parliament,

If you can agree with new engagements of the European Union to aid and protect the refugees, please send your answers and ideas also to us:

http://www.orient-news.net/ar/news_show/81620/45 ,
http://janoubia.com/2017/06/02/

https://www.radiosawa.com/a/syria-turkey-refugees/305960.html

Urgent letter to the members of the European Parliament

Goal : Protection of Syrian refugees in the neighbouring countries
Nov. 8, 2017

Sir, Madam,

Dear European representatives,

As a Syrian citizen, I’m writing you this letter to draw your attention on the urgent need to end the war in my country and to takemeasures for avoiding a civil war between the different parties.

Furthermore your attention is needed for the painful situation of Syrian refugees in Syria’s neighbouring countries (Turkey, Jordan and especially Lebanon).

Each and every day crimes are commied against Syrians: violation of women and children, even cutting up victims in order to sell their organs and, more widespread, expelling families from their homes.

Some of the crimes can be seen as committed by an individual but others are committed by the local governments, towns or eventhe State. In this case we talk about discrimination of certain populations.

Some examples:

· 45 Lebanese communities have forbidden Syrians to leave their houses in the evening, which is a violation of the « Human Rights charter »
http://www.orient-news.net/ar/news_show/81620/45 ,
http://janoubia.com/2017/06/02/

· Many Lebanese communities are forcing Syrians to work for free during the weekends ; men have to do street work, women and children have to work in the houses of Lebanese inhabitants. Refusing to do so results in immediate expulsion from the community.
https://sadaalshaam.net/2017/07/

· On October 20, 2017, the Lebanese president has requested to prepare the return of Syrians to their country without even waiting for a solution of the ongoing war. He did this during a meeting with the ambassadors of the five permanentmembers of the Security Council of the United Nations and the European Union and the representative of the United Nations in Beirut.
http://arabic.peopledaily.com.cn/n3/2017/1021/c31662-9282845.html

· Early July 2017 the Lebanese army has aacked refugee camps in Irsal. Seven Syrians were killed, dozens of others have been tortured.
http://orient-news.net/ar/news_show/138450/0/

· The Turkish army and security agents are torturing and killing Syrian refugees in the border areas.
https://www.radiosawa.com/a/syria-turkey-refugees/305960.html

· In Jordan refugee camps under aged girls are being sold for forced marriages and no one is reacting !
http://www.bbc.com/arabic/middleeast/2014/08/140820_syrian_child_brides

Dear members of the European Parliament,
The above list is far from exhaustive and what happens in reality is often even more cruel and horrible!
I’m appealing to your humanity ; your will to help and to come to help to those who need it urgently. Being fathers and mothersyourselves, please engage in protecting the Syrian children and families.
One of the options is to move refugee camps from the neighbouring countries into Syria itself, in regions controlled and protectedby the United Nations. This would avoid racial discrimination and allow children to attend school with the same curriculum as other Syrian children.

The refugees would no longer overburden the neighbouring countries anymore. Furthermore when, after a cease-fire, presidential elections will be organised in Syria, they would be entitled to voting too.

Dear members of the European Parliament,

I feel confident that you will respond positively to this urgent appeal (gastvrijherent@gmail.com).

Please accept my respectful atitude.
